Summary
The Gesellschaft für Diamantprodukte mbH was founded in 1999 by Dr. Peter Gluche, the current managing partner. Originally a spin-off from the University of Ulm and the Daimler Research Center in the Science Park Ulm, the company has since established itself and moved its headquarters to Neu-Ulm in 2018. An important step towards increasing production capacity. Gesellschaft für Diamantprodukte mbH currently employs 18 people and is a training company. GFD produces diamond coatings by means of chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and processes them into watch components, blades, tools, balls and scalpels using semiconductor technology. With this technology, workpieces with an edge length of up to 500 mm can be coated and processed with diamond.
